When interviewed for SLMan magazine in September I talked about a rollercoaster year and wow, the ups and downs have continued right up until the end as I sit here writing about GlamperRV 2020 highlights.
Considering how much of the tourism industry has been decimated by the pandemic I feel extremely fortunate that the luxury motorhome hire business has faired well and that we had four great months this summer/autumn, welcoming customers and sharing their joy in getting out and exploring in style.
As ever I’m delighted to share with you some of the highlights of those trips.
Best for Walking – Pembrokeshire
The image says it all. What a fabulous pitch. Perched on the Pembrokeshire coastal path, Penrhyn Farm Camping offers customers a quiet, unspoilt location within walking distance of the picturesque seaside town of New Quay on the Cardigan welsh coast.
Penrhyn Farm is a member of the Greener Camping Club, a new organisation for those looking for a more sustainable approach to camping so worth reviewing their other locations. Definitely one of our GlamperRV 2020 highlights.
Best for Children – New Forest
The New Forest is a firm favourite with GlamperRV families with so many activities on your doorstep and a short drive to the beach of Studland bay and harbour at Lymington.
Two families holidayed together at Lake West Camping Area in Avon Tyrrell this summer – a Youth Activity Centre that offers a full complement of activities for young adventurers.
Best for Fishing – Norfolk
Narborough Fisheries near Kings Lynn, Norfolk offers lakeside camping pitches and was highly rated by a customer keen on indulging his passion for fishing this summer.
Best for sea views – Cornwall
Cornwall is always a firm favourite with GlamperRV customers and at the highly recommended Mother Ivey’s Bay each pitch has stunning views across the Trevose headland and towards Booby’s Bay.
With its private, golden sandy beach just a 2 minute walk away and The Pig’s most recent hotel opening at Harlyn Bay a few hundred metres from the site I am sure it will have many repeat GlamperRV customers in 2021.
