Site spotlight Cornwall
As the world leaders head to Cornwall what better time to give some feedback from customer trips to this English holiday hotspot.
Some are put off visiting Cornwall in a GlamperRV due to the narrow windy roads however if you plan your sites carefully, finding those within walking/cycling distance of attractions and even visiting out of peak season then there are some stunning places to visit. A top tip by one customer was to rent a little car whilst down there – this gave them enormous flexibility and was surprisingly cost effective.
A hugely popular site with GlamperRV customers on the North coast by Tintagel is the Trewethett Farm Campsite. The photo above shows just how picturesque the pitches are in this stunning location. Sitting on the coastal path there is plenty to explore on foot with King Arthur’s Statue and Tintagel Castle to the west and some fabulous rock formations.
Further down the coast the Camel Valley is a another popular area to explore and a customer gave a good tip – find a quiet campsite inland along the Camel Trail, hire some bikes (electric versions now available!) and explore the busy villages of Padstow and Rock.
Moving over to the South coast Heligan campsite, located within walking distance of the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan received a big thumbs up by a family who visited during half term week. They raved about the modern facilities, the BBQ charcoal they make on-site and the fabulous local farm shop for BBQ supplies.
For those without children and looking for a rustic, peaceful, adults only site then the Meadows at Pentewan Valley is frequently recommended.
These are just a few ideas from the many incredible locations from our Site Spotlight Cornwall.
