Site Spotlight – Oxwich Bay

Having spent an idyllic few days on the Gower last summer, I was excited to hear from a customer about their visit to Nicholaston Farm Caravan & Camp Site. We loved the area and I’m excited to share a few highlights with you in this Site Spotlight – Oxwich Bay. This small, family-run campsite is located above one of Gower’s best and most secluded coves.

Many of the touring pitches benefit from the beautiful views across the sweep of Oxwich Bay, along with direct access onto the coastal path. From here, you can walk east towards Three Cliffs Bay or west towards Oxwich. The walk down to the beach through Crawley Woods and over the dunes takes about 10 minutes. Only accessible on foot, you’ll always find plenty of quiet spaces on this two-mile stretch of golden sand.

This is stunning coast walking country with the vast sandy beaches of Crawley and the smaller Tor Bay a little further along the coastal path. If water sports are your thing, there are many operators offering surfing, boogie boarding, stand up paddling, and kite surfing.

No doubt all this activity will build up an appetite! If you have a special occasion to celebrate, then do book into the Michelin-starred Beach House at Oxwich Bay.

Perched high on the sand, just a pebble’s throw from the water, Beach House feels as though it’s been washed ashore and weathered over time. Soaking in all of its natural setting, the essence of Beach House is firmly rooted in the Gower, offering the freshest local produce. Whether reared, caught, picked, or grown, Beach House delivers a refined dining experience combined with a relaxed beach restaurant vibe.

I love hearing about your GlamperRV adventures and look forward to sharing more gems with you in the coming months.
