Site Spotlight – Bath
It looks like spring has most definitely arrived. I just love sunny days down at the farm, listening to the birds and starting to see more and more customers arrive for their GlamperRV adventures. Do get in touch if you fancy a last minute spring break to enjoy the sunshine next week. Please remember we are donating £100 from every hire we take during March to the Ukraine appeal.
I am heading off for a GlamperRV adventure myself this weekend. Introducing a bestie to #vanlife, I am keen to impress. We have decided on Kent as our location. A county that I drive through regularly en route to France but have never explored. It has been such fun planning so do follow us on Instagram (@GlamperRV) and we will post some highlights (and of course I will share the tour in full in a future site spotlight).
Back to our site spotlight – Bath and the Bath Waterside & Marina and Caravan Park (pictured above). This campsite is a hugely popular stopover for many GlamperRV customers either on their way further west or as part of a tour embracing the Cotswolds and New Forest. You don’t have to worry about the clean air zone charges driving through Bath as all our modern GlamperRV are exempt.
Located on the River Avon, the Bath Caravan Park is just two miles from the city centre which makes it ideal for a stroll or cycle along the riverside into beautiful Bath. If the exercise one way has been too much then return with the park-and-ride bus whose stop is nearby. The park is nestled amid grassy banks and shady trees on one of the most treasured stretches of the River Avon. Open all year round, it has modern facilities set amongst its beautifully landscaped lawns and woodlands.
If you have never visited Bath then you are in for a real treat. Take in the ancient Roman Baths, before indulging yourself in the modern Thermae Spa. Take a stroll along the Royal Crescent and enjoy amazing views of the city from the Bath Abbey Tower. If you fancy exploring the countryside around the city then put on your hiking boots and tackle the Bath Skyline Walk for more uninterrupted views of the city and the hills beyond.
For those looking forward to the next series of Bridgerton arriving on Netflix then you will recognise much of Bath’s architecture. Whilst the drama is set in an American fantasy of Regency-era London in 1813, many of the scenes were filmed in Bath.
Happy planning!
