Hayles Fruit Farm, Cotswolds
I hope you are all enjoying the glimpses of spring this last week. I spent a few days with family in the South of France and I must say the feeling of warm sunshine has got me super excited about the summer ahead! As we plan our own little GlamperRV adventure this Easter, a customer recommendation has inspired me and our site spotlight, Hayles Fruit Farm will not disappoint.
Nestled on the outskirts of the idyllic Cotswold market town of Winchcombe, in the heart of Gloucestershire, this family-owned business offers so much. It is ideally located less than a 2 hour drive from our Buckinghamshire base so presents the perfect start to your GlamperRV adventure.
On site is a well-stocked farm shop and café where from April, Friday night is pizza night.
I know many of you enjoy the great outdoors when out and about exploring. In addition to being positioned on The Cotswold Way, the farm itself has two nature trails. One is a shorter one to accommodate young children (and buggies) and a longer alternative for the more adventurous!
There are also two coarse fishing lakes available for resident campers so if angling is your thing, fish your heart out.
A stay on a fruit farm would not be complete without the opportunity to pick your own fruit. From June, when the strawberries come into season, through to October there is a wide range available to pick and enjoy.
The farm even use their surplus of apples to good effect with their own range of Badger’s scrumpy cider – yet another reason to love this place!
I have no doubt that Hayles Fruit Farm will see a number of GlamperRV passing through it’s gates. The location and relaxed atmosphere will certainly appeal to many.
As ever, happy planning!
