Site Spotlight – Harry’s Meadow, New Forest
Our site spotlight shines on a rather unique camping location this week as we focus on Harry’s Meadow, a 20 acre tree lined, wild flower meadow set in the grounds of a stately home in the New Forest National Park.
Located within the New Forest National Park the meadow transforms during the peak summer season into a wonderfully relaxed camping experience. You can park up in the grassy meadows surrounded by ancient towering oaks and cedars and enjoy the panoramic views and breath-taking sunsets over the Avon Valley and surrounding New Forest.
Harry’s Meadow is easily accessible and with a crisscross of footpaths is a perfect base to explore the miles of New Forest tracks and woodland. A one mile stroll along a quiet footpath you will find one of best pubs in The New Forest, The Horse & Groom, Woodgreen which is also home to an award winning village shop for your supplies.
If you don’t fancy cooking yourself (although it is a perfect BBQ venue) then a fabulous Italian pizza oven cooks up a storm on site twice a week.
I know a couple of families who visited last summer as part of their luxury GlamperRV experience and loved the laid back experience and freedom that Harry’s Meadow offered.
