We are heading north again this week for our Site spotlight The Barn at Beal, moving on to the stunning Northumberland coast. For those who have never explored this region then follow the Northumberland 250 on Instagram and be ready to be inspired. The 250-mile road trip takes you on an epic adventure across the land of dark skies, rolling hills & remarkable coastline.
The Barn at Beal
One of the highlights of the NL250 is Holy Island & Lindisfarne Castle and the 16 motorhome pitches at The Barn at Beal all offer spectacular views over both with the Farne Islands beyond. You can explore Holy Island easily on foot or bike from The Barn however do check for the safe crossing times before visiting, linked to the mainland by a causeway, it is cut off twice daily by fast incoming tides!
In addition to the well positioned motorhome pitches at the Barn you will also find a restaurant and coffee shop and the Bothy Bar serving a wide range of local ales and a tempting bar menu. What more could you wish for?
We visited Northumberland a few years ago on a GlamperRV adventure and were amazed by the wide open beaches with very few people even during the August school holidays.
The castles dotted down the coast line including Anwick Castle, which starred as the magical Hogwarts School in many a Harry Potter film, created some fantastic day trips. It is most definitely a forgotten location but one I would highly recommend.
We hope our site spotlight the Barn at Beal has provided inspiration for your next GlamperRV adventure.
