As we bid farewell to a hectic 2017, I sit here in eager anticipation of what 2018 has in store. Further expansion of GlamperRV’s luxury motorhome hire fleet with our stunning 2018 models set to arrive shortly, a new franchise partner to be announced later this month, the largest ever number of customers enjoying GlamperRV adventures and importantly for my blog many, many more trip ideas to share with you.
So as I sit here taking time out from the hysteria of the festive season I thought I would share with you some highlights of 2017. I feel very lucky that GlamperRV customers love to share their adventures with us, such is the fun they have had. Holkham, Norfolk
Park up at Lady Anne’s Drive (pictured bottom left) where for £12 you can leave your GlamperRV all day. In one direction you have the stunning beach and dunes and the other Holkham Hall with enough activities to spend a day or more! A short drive away is the Lifeboat Inn at Thornham – park up here for the night in their large car park and enjoy the culinary delights on offer.
Great for long walks on the beach and high quality gastropubs and cafes.
Edinburgh festival campsite
I was impressed to hear from a customer keen to take in the Edinburgh International Festival that during festival season the organisers have created a dedicated festival campsite for those visiting and performing situated to the west of the City. This made the perfect base for our customers with dedicated buses whizzing them into the city in 25 minutes and with their bikes safely stored in GlamperRV’s large garage, they also enjoyed the variety of cycle routes into town. The 2018 Edinburgh Festival runs from 3rd – 27th August and with our availability already limited in August I would encourage you to book early if you are planning a trip during the holiday season.
Great for culture and exploring the City.
Zip World, Snowdonia
North Wales continues to be an extremely popular destination for GlamperRV adventures and many have come back reporting that the campsite at Zip World offers a stunning location, is ideally located for the many attractions of this area and is much quieter than other, larger such facilities. One couple returned with a bible of adventures to enjoy in Wales, a copy of which we can provide if you are planning such a trip.
Great for adrenalin filled adventures!
Santander Ferry
If you fancy taking GlamperRV to explore norther Spain there is no better way than taking Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Santander and exploring the region as one customer enjoyed earlier this year. Their trip was covered in my blog ‘Santander back to base’
Great for tourers looking for a long road trip.
Cycle tours in the Alps
Many customers make the most of the large, secure garage space GlamperRV has to offer to safely stow their expensive road bikes as they venture down to the Alps to master some of the classic Tour de France mountain climbs.
Great for cyclists.
Brit Stops
GlamperRV customers benefit from our membership of Brit Stops, finding a wide range of stunning locations to park up for the night across the country. Visit Brit Stop’s Facebook page to see some of these and get inspiration for your own trip. A copy of the Brit Stops guide will be waiting for you when you pick up your GlamperRV.
Great for anyone looking to stay away from the crowds.
